INTEGRIS James L. Henry Endowment for Indigent Patient Care Receives Grant from Experian Healthcare
In an effort to assist financially-challenged patients, Experian Healthcare awarded a $20,000 grant to INTEGRIS for its James L. Henry Endowment Fund for Indigent Patient Care. The contribution was made in appreciation of INTEGRIS’ commitment to finding solutions for those most in need, which is critical to the overall health of the U.S. healthcare system.
“Knowing what a patient can afford strengthens the financial performance of the healthcare provider, and creates a more realistic scenario for patients to pay for unplanned medical expenses,” said Dan Buell, General Manager of Experian Healthcare. “We are pleased to recognize INTEGRIS for outstanding work in its local communities, as well as proud to provide tools that help the organization better serve its patients.”
In addition to receiving the financial contribution, INTEGRIS will also be utilizing the Experian Healthcare Payment Plan AdvisorSM solution, which automatically calculates the ideal payment plan for each patient based on his or her unique financial situation. The solution will enable INTEGRIS to take an individualized approach to working with patients in need of assistance.
“The James L. Henry Endowment for Indigent Patient Care was created to support INTEGRIS’ mission to improve the health of the people and communities we serve by alleviating the financial burden placed on patients-in-need during a stressful life event,” said Bruce Lawrence, INTEGRIS President and CEO. “Our hope is this gesture of philanthropy minimizes patient anxiety allowing for greater focus on their recovery.”
